Masonry Carafe
The Masonry Carafe is a handmade, mouth-blown glass carafe by NIKO JUNE, crafted from upcycled glass at Holmegaard Værk in Denmark. Originally designed for Café Niko, the carafe explores the relationship between traditional glassmaking and raw architectural materials.
Each carafe is blown into a unique mould made from four stoneware bricks, creating a distinctive sculptural surface that captures the texture of the bricks.
The handmade process gives every Masonry Carafe subtle variations in texture, shape and character, making each piece one of a kind.

The Masonry Carafe was developed for Café Niko as an exploration of how everyday architectural materials can be transformed into functional glass objects.
The production process begins by arranging four stoneware bricks to create a negative space between them. Molten glass is then mouth-blown into this one-time mould, allowing the carafe to capture the raw texture of the bricks as the hot glass presses against their rough surfaces.
Once released from the mould, the glassmakers shape the top of the vessel and apply the NIKO JUNE logo by hand.
Produced in close collaboration with our glassmakers at Holmegaard Værk in Denmark, each carafe reflects the unpredictable relationship between material, mould and craftsmanship.

This product is mouth-blown and handmade, meaning that each single object is unique. Size may vary. Hand wash only and use a soft sponge and warm water. The glass can be fragile, so be careful when handling the object. Rubs and small seeds are all parts giving the object a soul. We embrace those imperfections and so should you.
