The Studio Cup Burgundy by NIKO JUNE is a handmade ceramic cup, crafted from stoneware and both formed and glazed in Denmark.
Originally developed as a ceramic colour sample at the NIKO JUNE studio in Copenhagen, the cup quickly became a favourite among the team and was eventually put into production.
As the first object in the Studio Series, it reflects an experimental approach to everyday objects, combining a simple, functional form with the character of handcrafted ceramics.
Each cup is individually handcrafted, resulting in subtle variations in shape, colour and glaze that make every piece unique.

From Colour Sample to Everyday Object
The Studio Cup began as an experiment with ceramic colours and glazes at the NIKO JUNE studio in Copenhagen.
Initially developed as a series of colour samples, the cups became so popular within the team that they were put into production, marking the beginning of the Studio Series.
The collection consists of ceramic objects originally developed for use within the studio itself, reflecting a spontaneous and practical approach to design.
Each Studio Cup is individually formed from stoneware and glazed in Denmark. The handmade production process creates subtle variations in shape, texture and glaze, giving every cup its own character.
