Bouquet Theory Glass Tall
The Bouquet Theory Glass was developed as part of a wider collection exploring assemblage, reuse and the transformation of found industrial forms. Exhibited at Other Circle during 3 days of design.
Its shape originates from a composition of fragments of old moulds and familiar industrial profiles. These contrasting elements are brought together to create a functional object with a distinctly sculptural character.
Part readymade and part composition, the glass balances precision with improvisation. Through the glassmaking process, the original assemblage is transformed into a permanent transparent form preserving the memory of its components while giving them a new function and identity.
Produced in Denmark in close collaboration with our glassblowers at Holmegaard Værk, each glass carries subtle variations that reflect its handmade production. The Drinking Glass is available in two sizes.
The result is a playful and slightly excessive drinking glass that exists somewhere between an everyday object and a three-dimensional collage.
